Oak Avenue United church has spent the past year in a detailed process of discernment. We have asked ourselves what the future might hold. Having considered many aspects, we have concluded that we do not have the resources, human or financial, to continue a vital ministry past the end of June 2007.

Therefore, on Sunday June 24th we held our last Sunday morning service of worship. Holy Communion was celebrated.

On July 1st, 2007, a new and emerging United Church congregation called Amazing Grace Mission took over our building for their ministry. We were delighted to pass this legacy on to a new congregation and pray that they might flourish.

The Oak Avenue Neighbourhood Hub Society, Central City Church and the other tenants in the building have entering into new rental agreements with the trustees of Amazing Grace Mission.
